Meaning of the shirt / visual description design

On the shirt you can see one cage on the left with the letter 'W' and one cage on the right with the letter 'M' written on it. 'M' and 'W' stand for 'man' and 'woman', two categories that feel like a cage to many non-binary people. The boxes 'man' and 'woman' come with societal expectations that can be very restricting to people who don't feel like they fit just one box.

In between the two cages there's a large circle with an 'X' and a person in it. The 'X' refers to an infinite gender spectrum, to the possibility of expressing yourself outside the so-called 'gender binary', to an ever-expanding circle in which you can experiment with your gender as a non-binary person. Sarah gave the little person leg hair because for them, growing their leg hair, was a very important step in accepting themselves and embracing their non-binary/genderqueer gender identity.
