call me lonely call me fragile and a bore if that’s what describes me I don’t mind your tone people are trying to destroy our world don’t arrest me it’s not my fault my best days I’ve spent on my own death is all around me but I refuse to let it touch my bones we all hope that we’ll live and never get old my best days I’ve spent on my own my best days I’ve spent on my own on my own you are not alone if your best days are spent on your own if your friends say you should go out more

hide we used to intertwine when our sky was broken can we cry wrap our arms around our problems just realise your arms are branches some birds have built a home in and I I will feed them and let you use my soil I’ve watched you grow in dirty stained soil overclouded places deprived of sun you’ve watched me drown in floods of water drying out, my body couldn’t take the load You’ll hold me tight but I won’t mind I’m still blossoming, you have the sun in your eyes and you’ve been staring at your feet just so our eyes wouldn’t meet you’ve been staring at your feet just so our eyes wouldn’t meet now we just- hide don't intertwine when our sky is broken can we cry wrap our arms around our problems just realise your arms are branches some birds have built a home in and I I will feed them and let you use my soil just realise your arms are branches some birds have built a home in just realise your arms are branches some birds have built a home in and I I will feed them and let you use my soil

mentally sick, you overshare you're never really quick but you always care when no one can see, they don't believe gotta have some proof physically it's a shame we all waste so much time comparing differences, let’s build a bridge instead of walls it’s a shame we all waste so much time and space ruminating can we outrun our shadows life is simply passing before your eyes when you get a grip, here comes a sacrifice like a bad movie you keep staring but waiting for the ending to arrive use your voices, we all are our voices these inner voices, they were not our choices but use your voices, we all are our voices voices, voices we play hide and seek these voices and me will they not find me where I hide I hope so

this place is not your place you’ve been trying to fit in a box that is too thin hate builds up when you keep to yourself so please just yell for once you sighed ‘last night I dreamt of leaving the world behind but now I’m not ready to’ if others knew what you are they would declare you mad but that’s what we all are here you sighed ‘last night I dreamt of leaving the world behind but now I’m not ready to’ you sighed ‘last night my planet asked my to return but now I’m not ready to’ if survival of the fittest is really true then how did we evolve to this you sighed ‘last night ‘I dreamt of leaving the world behind’

about

Almost four years after their debut-album ‘Temporarily Colourblind’, Eyemèr returns with a new EP called ‘Good Mourning To You’. The record focuses on themes of mental health and non-binary gender identity.

The title ‘Good Mourning To You’ is a play on words. It refers to the grieving process that Eyemèr went through when they lost someone to suicide. When someone dies in such a way, feelings of guilt often haunt those who are left behind. In addition, Eyemèr experienced a process similar to ‘mourning’ when someone in their family could no longer be truly present due to a mental illness. With the saying ‘Good Mourning To You’, Eyemèr wants to uplift those who are currently processing a loss.

For many years already, Eyemèr has been working to break the stigma surrounding mental health using melancholic indie sounds and activist lyrics. Since 2018, which marks the year the artist came out of the closet as non-binary (not man or woman), they have also started writing about their genderqueerness. Eyemèr hopes to spotlight both the mental health theme and non-binary theme and normalize these.

In order to be able to finance this new record, Eyemèr launched a crowdfunding campaign through which fans and patrons could invest in the new record for a period of thirty days. The campaign was a success and even surpassed the goal amount of 3.500€.
